Outdoor Activities For Schools

We believe that outdoor activities for schools is an important part of any school curriculum.  Outdoor pursuits are an essential part of education for everyone.   We have a full range of outdoor activities for schools.  With our advice available 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm you will be able to choose the right mix of outdoor activities to give your students and staff an enjoyable and extremely valuable experience.

Activities

These are tailored to suit the nature of the students but really its about having fun. We structure adventure activities to ensure that students find themselves in situations which stretch them in some way. If people are enjoying themselves they will rise to any challenge and their success will remain with them for ages. Leaders act to facilitate development, and students may be encouraged to take a quiet moment to reflect on the events which they have been part of.

Our goal is to ensure that all school groups have a wonderful time taking part in outdoor adventure activities. We aim to inspire students and staff by building success into all of our outdoor adventure activity sessions.

Joint Adventures has staff experienced in organising adventure activities for primary schools secondary schools and colleges. We do not use trainee instructors with any of our school groups. Instructor to student ratios are around 1:8 or better. We organise residential stays of 2 to 5 days, or non residential based adventure days.

A safe and enjoyable experience

Organising a visit

We will provide pre course briefing information for students and parents, and will liaise with organising staff prior to the visit to answer any questions they may have. We will endeavour to be as flexible as possible in meeting individual requirements.

Please talk to us about organising your visit.

Residential Accommodation

We will assist you in the booking of accommodation so that you only have to deal with one person.

Typically staff and students will be based at YHA hostels. These provide excellent accommodation and are geared up for the activities which the students and staff will take part in. Hostels which are conveniently situated to minimise travelling are:

Holly Howe Coniston YHA

Ambleside YHA

We also use self catering bunk house accommodation based in Coniston village. Other accommodation may also be booked.
