Live Action Tag Archery
Live action archery is based on Live Action Role Play (LARP) games. This is like paintball with a much smaller risk of bruising! Soft tipped arrows means that its likely that only your pride will hurt if you get hit. This is a great activity for stag and hen parties or just about any group of friends who want a friendly battle or want to play Robin Hood.
With a variety of archery game scenarios teams do battle against each other. During game play archers will shoot arrows at their opponents or hit targets whilst trying to avoid being hit themselves. You may also like Target archery and Field Archery.
Of course we don’t shoot pointed arrows at each other. The arrows are tipped with a giant “marshmallow” so being shot at is relatively painless (possibly pride being hurt more that anything else). Participants wear a face mask to protect their eyes and face. Apart from that this is done in shorts and T-shirts or winter woollies (depending on the time of year. What you will do
The tag archery activity session will start with getting to know how to use the archery equipment. We have a variety of bows so first we will run through basic shooting procedures to get you shooting safely and more accurately than you might otherwise do.
After this time we will introduce the game tag archery scenario and explain the rules. This part of the session is where the fun really starts if you like the idea of shooting at your friends. The games used will depend on group size but we always make sure they are lots of fun.
