Lake District Stag and Hen Parties
Stag and Hen party outdoor adventure activities are full of fun and entertainment. Birthday, Stag, or Hen party, no matter what you're celebrating, we can provide a high quality of service to ensure that the entertainment runs smoothly.
We will help you chose a great activity.
The choice of adventure activities is yours. We know how to make your outdoor activities work well, and if you wish, we can advise you on the best adventure activities for your group. Whether you want a relaxing time enjoying the outdoors, or you want to get that adrenalin rush, we will tailor your day to meet your needs. Whichever activity you choose we will send you photos of the event to keep and share with your friends.
Our favourite Stag and Hen Do Activities
Stag and Hen Dos can come with a real mixed bag of people so we run activities to suit a whole range of things. Here are our top the top five choices. You can choose to do a full day (usually two activities) or a half day (one activity).
Canyoning or Gorge scramble.
This is our wettest and wildest activity on stag and hen party. Canyoning is more about coming down the beck and involves more jumps and is a bit more committing than gorge scrambling, whereas gorge scrambling is more suited to people who are less comfortable with heights. Most sessions can be a little bit of both just to suit the group.
Raft Building
This a great stag or hen do activity for those who have a mind for creativity and building stuff. Raft building is a mixture of making your raft and then paddling your raft. The paddling part is usually pretty wet and of course it is compulsory for the stag or hen accidentally fall in.
Archery
This is a pretty relaxing activity although people do let their competitive side show. We usually shoot outside taking advantage of the Lake District scenery. We teach you how to shoot safely and then let you loose on some games and competitions. As well as the conventional target faces we also have 2 and 3 D animal targets for those who want a bit more of a challenge. You can also book groups up to 8 for an indoor session if you wish.
Canoeing and Kayaking
This is a great activity for those who want a little bit more of a journey on the lake. Our kayaks are stable and we have boats to fit pretty much anyone in without having to chop off their feet! (Upper weight limit of some of our larger kayaks is 19.5 stone or 124 kg). We also have canoes which allow 2 or 3 people to go in the same boat. Sessions can involve a gentle journey on the lake (pick nick hamper at the ready) or a more energetic journey involving a bit more splashing and swimming.
Abseiling
This is a great activity for those who want an adrenalin rush that comes with lowering yourself off a cliff edge. We have abseils from about 20 metes to about 40 metres so depending on how confident you’re feeling we can set up the abseil for you. Abseiling tends to work best with groups of up to 8.
Pioneering and Bush Craft
Pioneering involves making something useful form something which isn’t useful. We make catapults and bridges as well as seats and benches. We can also combine it with bush craft and teach fire lighting and wild cooking skills. This works well with groups of up to 12 doing a full day.
Important details
We can provide indoor changing facilities for groups of 8 or more. You can request one of our home made packed lunches, and we can help in booking accommodation. Finally, we are happy to make recommendations for that all important evening meal or night out.
