Joint Adventures was set up by Adam McCluskey in 2004. With 20 years teaching experience under his belt, and almost the same number of years doing outdoor stuff, Adam decided it was time to indulge himself and develop what started out as a hobby and after school activity sessions, into something more. Joint Adventures was born so that he could take people out and share the outdoor adventure (to make it a joint adventure).
Simon Bond
Simon has qualifications in Hill walking, and rock climbing as well as competency in may of the local gorges. He has also gained much technical knowledge through working for Lyon Equipment. Simon combines freelance instruction with being a lecturer at Fleetwood Maritime College.
Linda Brown
Linda is an enthusiastic canoeist and kayaker and archery instructor.
Linda has a vast experience of teaching skills to children and adults and as a result they often come back for more.
Nigel Hooker
Nigel is one of our most experienced mountain instructors. Nigel holds the M.I.C. and has climbed in many parts of the UK and abroad.
He also paddles kayak and canoe and is a keen fisherman.
Kevin King
Kevin has a vast experience of teaching in the outdoors. He holds qualifications in kayaking, canoeing, climbing and hill walking. Kevin has a relaxed easy going manner but loves introducing people to new challenges.
Claire Hendrickse
Claire combines outdoor instruction with primary school teaching. She holds qualifications in kayak and canoe as well as climbing, hill walking and caving. Claire particularly enjoys canoe expeditions and journeys. Claire is very much a people person and quickly establishes rapport with groups.
Neil Mullhall
Neil is a a specialist water sports instructor. He has a creative approach to working with groups and his natural enthusiasm for seeing individuals progress and learn makes him an excellent instructor.
Stuart Gorman
Stuart is extremely friendly and enthusiastic towards all his groups. He has qualifications in hill walking, kayaking and canoeing, climbing, archery and mountain biking. He is equally skilled at managing adults and younger people. Stuart is also a Dofe Assessor.
Adam is now very ably assisted by a team of instructors who each contribute a mix of skills and a lot of experience and make Joint Adventures successful.
