For these sessions it is best to contact us to discuss your requirements and take advantage of our special family rates.
Originally meant for people with GPS receivers, Geo-caching is like going on a treasure hunt. Exciting as you home in on your target, and rewarding as you develop your navigational skills. Each cache consists of a waterproof container with note book and pencil, and some little treasures. You arrive at a cache, record your find in a log book, and swap some little treasure. Most caches contain toys or little curiosities. The idea is that people leave something and take something. These items should not include food or other perishable things.
One of our most popular activities. Why not walk up a mountain stream, climb waterfalls, and jump into pools? This activity and is largely about getting wet and having fun. Gorge walking may be done as a half day activity
This photo trail takes you from Langdale over to Coniston. There is a National Trust car park at Old Dungeon Ghyll (GR28612, 06095). There is plenty of parking in Coniston village, although you may be limited to the secondary school playground at peak times. A suitable map to use is the OS Explorer OL6, which covers the South-western Lakes. This walk is about 13 km, with an ascent of just under 700m. Allow about 5 hours for this walk.Beginner to improver
This is a 2 day course for those who have little or know experience of boating, and wish to develop skills specific to canoe or kayak. Our aim is to help you develop skills to enable you to undertake short journeys on flat water, and be in good control of your boat. We will also teach you how to be safer on the water so that you may begin to plan your own adventures.
Advanced white water skills
This 2 day course is designed to move people on to the next level of paddling. It will focus on you learning how to paddle grade 3 water with finesse and develop skills needed to paddle grade 4 water.
Whether you want beautiful views, peace and tranquillity, or help with your navigation, we can help you get the most from your time on the hill. Hill walking can be tailored to meet your needs and level of experience. It is available as a full day, half day, or expedition activity. See our Photo Trails for your own adventure.

save your cotton T shirts and sweat shirts for travelling home in.
Jeans are NOT
recommended for any activity, apart from travelling home in.
Preferably two long sleeved layers, and one long legged layer, with your
lightweight waterproof jacket over the top. If you have waterproof trousers
