Kayak Rolling and Self Rescue Courses
Once you have mastered the basics of sitting in a kayak and paddling forwards, you may take the next few steps to independence. Learning some basic peer and self rescue techniques is important for your enjoyment and progress if you want to venture out on more difficult journeys. The modern kayak roll comes from and evolution of the Eskimo Roll. We use modern progressive techniques to help you develop a safe adaptable roll that can be used anywhere. Ultimately you need a bomb proof kayak roll!
Kayak rolling and self rescue courses begin in a swimming pool. Our experience has shown that in order to progress in kayak rolling, it is best to follow drills and practices which allow you to develop the correct techniques. We cannot guarantee that you will roll after one session, but we do guarantee that you will make significant progress towards becoming a safer paddler.
