One Two and three day skills courses will run each week. The emphasis will be on developing skills in a particular activity not just having a quick taste. If your child has a reasonable level of fitness, and enjoys the challenge of learning new skills, then these courses could be just what you're looking for. Archery (Thursday) Children 12years and over

One day skills course . This course covers shooting safely and improving technique. Participants will learn how to shoot recurve bows with and without sites. This course will cover all you need to know to get you shooting your own equipment. Cost £40 per child

Bush Craft/Survival (Tuesday)

This is a one day skills course to introduce you to some of the skills needed to survive in the forest. Who will be the first to build their shelter, get a fire going, and make the tools needed to help you survive? Cost £45 per child.

Kayaking/Canoeing (Monday)

One day beginners course for those who have little or no experience in a kayak/canoe. Cost £45 per child.

Two day improvers course (Tuesday and Wednesday), for those who have paddled on short journeys (2 or 3 km), but want to learn more about steering and controlling their boat. Cost £90 per child

Three day BCU 2 Star Training/Assessment. (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

This course is specifically for those who want to work towards gaining a nationally recognised qualification. It involves working in canoe and kayak, planning and going on a journey, and executing rescue skills. Participants who meet the standard will be eligible to gain the BCU 2 star award. Cost £135 per child (Does not include BCU Assessment fee. Minimum age 14.)

Rock climbing (Tuesday Wednesday)

Complete Beginner ( 1 or 2 day course)

In this course we aim to introduce you to the sport of climbing. The course will include the following:

personal equipment and clothing for rock climbing

personal safety

simple rope techniques

belaying

using basic holds
