About Us
Joint Adventures was set up by Adam McCluskey in 2004. With 20 years teaching experience under his belt, and almost the same number of years doing outdoor stuff, Adam decided it was time to indulge himself and develop what started out as a hobby and after school activity sessions, into something more. Joint Adventures was born so that he could take people out and share the outdoor adventure (to make it a joint adventure).
Adam is now very ably assisted by a team of instructors who each contribute a mix of skills and a lot of experience and make Joint Adventures successful.

Meet the Team
Adam McCluskey
Joint Adventures was set up by Adam McCluskey in 2004. Adam has 20 years teaching experience under his belt, and almost the same number of years doing outdoor stuff. Adam is now assisted by a team of instructors who each contribute a mix of skills and personalities to the team.
Stuart Lockton
Stuart has 20 years experience of leading groups in the outdoors. He has led hill walking expeditions all over the UK, with an extensive knowledge of the Lake District Fells and the Scottish Highlands. Stuart is also a very experience canoe coach, and has led canoe expeditions on most of the canoe-able rivers in England and Scotland as well as abroad. He also has great interest in wildlife and ecology.
Nigel Hooker
Nigel is one of our most experienced mountain instructors. Nigel holds the M.I.C. and has climbed in many parts of the UK and abroad.
He also paddles kayak and canoe and is a keen fisherman.
Linda Brown
We have known Linda for about 20 years. She was one of the people who taught my children to kayak and canoe when they were at school. When asked what she was like they said that she was "one of the best instructors they had been taught by.". Linda holds paddle sport qualifications in both canoe and kayak. She is friendly and always has a happy face.
